A QR code works best when the destination is worth opening
A QR code is a shortcut from print or a physical place to a page on a phone. Decide what people should find before putting a code on a card or poster: a menu, a set of links, your site or a contact option. Zayenha Bio can display a visit code for a published page, and its page editor also has a QR block for a URL you choose.
Create a page visitors can open by QR
Start with the destination, not the pattern
Choose a URL that opens correctly on a phone. Put a short label next to the code, such as “Scan for the menu” or “Scan for my work and contact details.” Scan a draft with two different phones before printing. The destination page should quickly explain what the visitor can do next. A beautiful code pointing to an empty page or expired address is not useful.
A page code versus a QR block
A published Bio page has a “Scan to visit” option that shows a code leading to that page. It suits a business card or shop sign: keep one destination while changing the useful links behind it. The editor also offers a QR block that displays a code for a URL you choose, such as an external menu or booking page, inside your Bio page. Neither feature should be confused with a standalone download tool for arbitrary QR files.
An example for a small shop
Put “Menu, location and contact” beside the page QR on a printed card. On the page, lead with the menu, then the map and a WhatsApp button. If an additional menu code helps inside the page, use the QR block with the correct link. Update the destination if the menu file changes, and test it after every edit. QR for an image, song, Facebook page or WhatsApp
The code opens a URL; it does not store the image or song inside its pattern. If an image has a public address, a track has a music-platform page, or you have a Facebook page or WhatsApp chat link, you can put that destination in a QR block on your page. Test whether the destination is public and opens without a private account. A code alone cannot unlock a restricted file. To scan an existing code, use a phone camera or a suitable reader; Zayenha Bio displays codes but is not a standalone QR scanner.

The current button displays a scannable code but does not export a PNG or SVG file. Check your available production options before planning a printed card.
Does a QR code work without internet?
A camera may read the pattern, but opening the linked web page needs a connection. Test it where people will use it.
