A WhatsApp link that makes contacting you simpler
If customers ask how to reach you, make the answer easy to tap instead of asking them to copy and save a number. You can share a direct WhatsApp chat link or put it on a page with your shop, location and other channels. Start with the right number format, then test the link before publishing.
The direct link format
Use https://wa.me/ followed by the number in international format, without a plus sign, spaces, hyphens or the local leading zero. For an illustrative Saudi number, local 0501234567 becomes https://wa.me/966501234567. That number is an example, not a contact you should publish; replace it with one you own. Tapping the address opens a WhatsApp conversation when the service is available on the visitor's device.
Add a button to a bio page
Create a Zayenha Bio page, open the links section, add a link and choose the WhatsApp type. Enter the contact details requested by the editor. Label the button with its purpose—“Ask about a product” is clearer than “Click here.” Place it near the products or services it supports, rather than between unrelated buttons. The adding links guide shows where to edit them.
When is a direct link enough?
If messaging is the only destination, share the direct WhatsApp link. If visitors may need prices, examples of your work or a location before messaging, put those choices on a bio page with WhatsApp as a visible option. The page does not send messages itself; its button takes visitors to WhatsApp to continue the chat there.
Frequently asked questions
Must a customer save my number first?
A click-to-chat link is designed to start a conversation from the URL. Test it on another device to confirm the experience your audience sees.
Should I publish my personal number?
Use the business number where you want to receive messages, and only make it public when you are comfortable doing so.
